Team TRIBE Run for Love 3 hit The Ultra X Summit

Team TRIBE!

This is the first training weekend for Run for Love 3. We are planning to clock up c. 40 miles over 2 days. It will be an epic weekend - bring it on!!

The plan is to run to (!) The Ultra X Summit in Hampshire (more info here: https://ultra-x.co/media/launching-the-ultra-x-summit/). Should be a really awesome bonding weekend and chance to have some drinks together by the campfire!!!

The itinerary is as follows:

Saturday 27th July

(Suggested train: 08:09 from Waterloo to Woking, arriving at 08:33 - tickets are £11.90. Please feel free to make different arrangements to arrive at Woking for 08:45).

8:45am: Meet at the Woking Train Station car park - look for the blue TRIBE van! You can hand us your overnight bag/tents etc. (anything you don't want to run with during the day). We have limited space in the van so please try to pack as light as possible.

9:00am: Run 27 miles as a tribe to the Ultra X Summit, near Basingstoke. There will be a mix of paces but we will be sticking together as one crew! This will be a mixture of roads and trails. Please ensure you bring water, and enough snacks to keep you going! The weather forecast is looking warm and sunny, with a small chance of some rain so please pack appropriately (suncream, hat, sunglasses, waterproof, extra layer).

2:30pm: Arrival at the Ultra X Summit! Ultra X are arranging for everyone to cheer us in and give us an awesome welcome to the event, so we will aim to arrive for 2:30pm. However, there is no pressure if the run does take longer - we will stick together!

2:30pm-10pm: Enjoy the afternoon and evening (full details on the attached email)!

10pm: We will be sleeping overnight in tents. Runners need to bring their own tents. There is the option for runners to camp in the Ultra X shared gazebos, but you will need to let us know ASAP in response to this email so that we can let Ultra X know.

Sunday 28th July

7am: Tea/Coffee will be delivered to your tent by Ultra X, and big bowls of porridge with fresh fruit will be available for breakfast so you can fuel up for the Sunday run!

7:30am: Optional sunrise yoga, led by Kate Westcott.

9am: 13 mile run, finishing back at camp.

11am: Refuel with TRIBE bars and pack up camp ready to head to the train station.

12/1pm: Taxi to Basingstoke station (you will need to arrange for your own ticket from Basingstoke to London).


Tickets: £45. Please note this does not include train travel to Woking, and back to London from Basingstoke - you need to book your own tickets.
