In 2013, TRIBE Co-Founders Tom, Guy and Rob completed the first Run for Love – a 1,000 mile run across Europe, from Odessa to Dubrovnik, to set up the first home for trafficked children in the UK. This was the journey which inspired TRIBE.
This November, we're bringing the tribe together for the third instalment of the epic Run for Love trilogy. It is taking place in The Azores - the tropical islands and trail runners paradise located in the middle of the Atlantic! We will push the limits of human endurance and run 280km in 6 days to fight modern slavery.
Join us for one of our ultra training weekends, in the lead up to the race! This is open to anyone, whether you're signed up for Run For Love III or not.
The Plan for Folkestone to Hastings:
Saturday August 10th
8.37am: London St Pancras -> Folkestone Central
9.30am: Leave Folkestone for 28 mile run
3.30pm: Arrive at end-point for Day 1 (Rye)
3.30pm onwards: Drinks, Relax & Supper
Accommodation in Rye (organised by TRIBE)
Sunday August 11th
8.00am: Breakfast
9.00am: 12 mile run to Hastings
12pm: Pub lunch
2.31pm: Return train Hastings -> London Charing Cross
4:05pm: Arrive back in London
We will be running 40 miles over two days, carrying everything we need for during the day + an overnight stay. This is perfect training for a multi-stage ultra marathon, and clocking up this number of miles as a crew is so much fun and so rewarding!
The pace will be approximately 10 min/mile. We will try and run as a pack. However we expect everyone will naturally be different speeds so we will re-group every 6 - 8 miles.
Cost: £50 (for hotel accommodation)
Cost excludes: Train tickets to and from Folkestone/Hastings (c. £25)
